Chapter History - Queen City, North Carolina

The Queen City Chapter of the National Hook-Up of Black Women, was established in May 2010 by Patricia Lee, after she relocated to North Carolina, from New Jersey.  The Queen City Chapter members are devoted to sharing their time and talents, because we recognize how the impact of our work would help change the lives of many who are underserved in the Queen City and surrounding areas.

Our goal is to hook-up with individuals, organizations and the institutions whose goals are to foster and promote the economic and social development of Black Women and their families, our elders and local fellowships. We are dedicated to a long/short term course of action and involvement.

The task of our volunteers include hands-on community support and service for feeding the homeless, providing scholarships for our Black Youth, promoting the endeavors and empowerment of Black Women and their families, while continuing to bring forth nationally the plight of Battered women across the nation and Literacy.
